Written Warp
Written Warp was our first youth participatory project with Katrina Leigh M. Raimann, a Filipino Hong Kong artist, as we delved into the exploration of new dimensions of human connection amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 era at The Mills.
Over a span of seven months with many challenges, we involved a total of 50 youths in a making journey, enabling them to deeply experience and explore the profound tension, interaction, and dynamic interplay that resonated within all of us during those challenging times. Through our efforts, we collaboratively crafted the artwork “Written Warp,” which resonates deeply with each individual within our communities.
It was first showcased at The CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile) Summer Programme 2021 Yee I-Lann: Until We Hug Again at The Mills. After two and half years of dedication, and with special thanks to The Executive Centre and Dream Impact, the work and the story were showcased again for the corporate sustainability professionals and social impact representatives at the grand opening of The ESG Innovation Lab at the Executive Center in Central 2023.
